For humans to live sustainably, the Earth's resources must be used at a rate at which they can be replenished.  There is now clear scientific evidence that humanity is living unsustainably.  An unprecedented collective effort is needed to return human use of natural resources to sustainable limits.  Solutions to our sustainabilty problems begin at nanoscale.  The research, science, technology, development and commercialization necessary to address this ecological overshoot is the focus of our work at the Center for Sustainable Ecosystem Nanotechnology.

Mission:  CSEN will become a world class "integration center" for Teaching, Researching, Developing and Commercializing transformative ecosystem nanotechnologies.   Partnering with companies to research, analyze, develop and apply integrated nanotechnological solutions to their sustainability problems.
